挂车车轴疲劳失效问题及应对措施

    Fatigue Failure of Trailer Axle and Countermeasures

    • 摘要: 针对挂车车轴在试验和使用中出现早期的疲劳失效现象,分析原因认为是挂车车轴经调质后机械性能没有达到目标值,切削加工时外表面粗糙度差等导致在车轴变径部位产生应力集中,萌生出疲劳裂纹后裂纹扩展引发出现早期失效。因此应严格执行热处理工艺制度,改善产品表面粗糙度,做好原材料及工序间检验控制工作,以提高挂车车轴的疲劳寿命。

       

      Abstract: Addressing the early-stage fatigue failures of the trailer axle as occurring during the testing and running respectively,the cause is analyzed.As a result,the cause is identified as follows.After quenched and tempered,the mechanical properties of the trailer axle is not yet up to the target values as required,and surface roughness of the axle as machined is so poor,which leads to stress concentration at its reducing section to initiate the fatigue crack that further expands,and eventually causes the foresaid early-stage failure.Accordingly,to enhance the fatigue life of the trailer axle,measures as below should be taken:strictly follow the heat treatment process scheme,improving the surface roughness of the axle,and properly conducting raw material inspection,and inter-process inspection and control.
