Abstract: Put forward here in the article is the concept of the redesign/manufacture of the rolling equipment for the seamless steel tube.Addressing the types,the characteristics and current operation status of the domestic rolling equipment for the seamless steel tube,and on the basis of redesign/manufacture of the existing rolling equipment,a discussion is made here in the paper on the possibility,target and method concerning the said redesign/manufacture.The said redesign/manufacture is in an main aim at upgrade and reformation of the equipment,including remanufacture of the components of the equipment,redesign/manufacture for equipment upgrade,redesign/manufacture for equipment reformation.Moreover a discussion is made on how to consider the factors involving redesign/manufacture of the equipment,and relevant actual examples are present.
