Abstract: Reviewed here in the paper is the operation situation of the domestic seamless steel tube industry during the period of the year of 2023 and the January to June of 2024. Also researched and analyzed are the new situation new development situation and new characteristics of the said industry. Based on which the new ideas concerning how the industry break through the present dilemma is discussed. Furthermore the practice experiences relating to new quality productivity development，and steadily pushing forward the high quality development of the industry are exchanged. Finally summarized are the new technologies of the steel tube industry for green low carbon and energy-saving and emission reduction as well as cost-reduction and benefit-increase. Therefore it is suggested to spread up the application of the digital inspection and measurement to the tube finishing aera so as to promote the transformation and upgrade of the domestic steel tube industry via technical innovation and structure adjustment，and to keep healthy high quality sustainable development thereof.
