Abstract:
The causes for the blast cracking of the 022Cr19Ni10N stainless steel pipe are analyzed by means of physical and chemical tests, and tests to its technological performance, and taking the technological process and the hydraulic loading status into consideration, based on which relevant process improvement measures are proposed. The results indicate that the longitudinal strength of the steel pipe is at the lower limit of the standard value, and there is a possibility of occurrence of the blast cracking, and in addition, so much chain like titanium nitride inclusion, and longitudinal hair cracks on the inner surface of the steel pipe get the circumferential strength of the steel pipe further reduced, which is mainly leads to the blast cracking of the steel pipe before the hydraulic pressure is not yet up to the specified value. Accordingly refining the grain size can improve the mechanical properties of the steel pipe and reduce the possibility of the blast cracking,on the other hand, measures such as improving the metallurgical quality of the steel billet, controlling the content and level of chain like titanium nitride inclusion in the steel, reducing the hair crack on the inner surface of the steel pipe, and improving the circumferential mechanical properties should be taken to avoid cracking of the said steel pipe during the hydraulic blasting test.
