Abstract:
In order to improve economy and service life of the forming mold for light-wall stainless steel welded pipe and fitting, the law of influences by the material property, the heat treatment process and the surface treatment technique of the domestic mainstream forming molds are systematically and comparatively analyzed. It is revealed via the research that there exist obvious differences of applicable scenarios and economies among the molds as made of different materials such as Cr12MoV,TS4 high aluminum bronze alloy,PA66/MC901 and so on. The wear resistances and service lives of different materials as above mentioned can be improved after various heat treatments and surface treatments. For the forming of the welded pipe,it is recommended to use Cr12MoV alloy with high strength toughness, and the wear-resistant Cu alloy, and for forming of the complicated pipe fitting, the DC53 mold as treated with the compounding process has the best comprehensive performance.
