Abstract: Compared with conventional drawing-die reducing process in seamless steel tube manufacture, the roll-die reducing technology as a quite new one provides such an advantage that during the course of pipe drawing. responding to the varying friction, speed and deformation conditions. the roll type die lessens the unevenness of metal deformation and the friction between the metal and the die. hence less residual stress of the drawn pipe. With the said new technology, the operation will be more economic thanks to lower energy consumption, simplified process flow as well as requirement of no lubrication.
