Abstract: The development history of the domestic weld pipe industry is reviewed and the development of the industry as well as product R&D in different periods are analyzed, taking several projects as examples, i.e. Northeast China "8-3" Pipeline, Shaanxi-Beijing Gas Pipeline, Sudan Crude Oil Export Pipeline and West-to-East Gas Transmission Project.Also briefed here are the academic activities of the domestic weld pipe industry, which leads to the conclusion that STEEL PIPE magazine plays a very important role in promoting advanced plants and exchanging development experiences etc.
