Abstract: The technical features of the CPE pipe mill and the mandrel pipe mil are compared and analyzed in case of producing small-sized seamless steel pipes,involving such aspects as manufacturing process,operational tools and equipment configuration. Based on the analysis,it is concluded that with similar pipe types and product quality, the CPE mill,compared with the mandrel pipe mill,is in possession of such advantages as low initial investment, simplified equipment structure and operation procedure,small maintenance amount,and low operation cost,etc., having competitive superiority over the latter.
