Abstract:
Studied and analyzed in here in the essay are the technical difficulties as encountered with in the development of theΦ610 mm×20.6 mm X65MOHFWsubmarine steel linepipe.As a result, a number of relevant countermeasures are proposed, focusing on those associated with three major aspects, i.e., design of the working width of the steel plate, guaranteeing the forming and welding stabilities, and preparation of the weld heat treatment process.The steel pipes as manufactured with implementation of the said measures are inspected and tested.The results prove that the heavy-wall HFW submarine steel linepipe has its all properties in compliance with the customer technical specification and the requirements as specified under Standard DNV-OS-F101-2005.
