Abstract: Along with the collaps of CMEA and the boundary opening,dramatic changes have happened with EU and German steel tube industries. The paper covers information concerning import/export of steel tubes,reduction of equipment capacity and staff reduction in EU during the period from 1988 to 1995. Also in the paper is a brief discussion on the current situation of EU and German steel tube industries.
