Abstract: Discussed here in the paper is the development trend of domestic steel tube-making industry during the period of slowing down of economies.And analyzed are the scale and present situation of the said industry in terms of the three major product categories, i.e., the seamless steel tube, the weld pipe and the stainless steel tube.Accordingly it is required to develop enterprises engaged in production of high quality steel tubes.The steel tube market of the first half of 2019 is forecast.It is also pointed out here that steel tube makers in the country have to speed up industrial transformation and upgrading and that particularly for small and medium steel tube companies, they have to get with and understand relevant complicated elements associated with the markets of domestic steel tube industry both at home and abroad, and the trend of structural overcapacity and the development trend of quality innovation as caused thereby.
