Abstract:
Analyzed in the article are the mechanism of thermal recovery of in-situ combustion super heavy oil, and the requirement for properties of the casing used in the thermal recovery well. Also presented here are the targeted data concerning the mechanical properties and performances of the specialty casing as used for service in the thermal recovery well for in-situ combustion super heavy oil. Moreover tested are the mechanical properties, the over-length performances,hi-temperature tensile property, and CO 2 corrosion-resistance of both the TP90H-3Cr and TP90H-9Cr casings. The test results show that the said two types of casings stand with performances up to or even higher than the design criteria, excellent thermal stability and hi-temperature softening-resistance and perfect CO 2 corrosion-resistance, having been satisfactory to the requirements for field application to the thermal recovery well for in-situ combustion super heavy oil.
