Abstract: The ladle turret of the 4-strand continuous casting machine was locally manufactured with the design made by a foreign company, and was successfully installed, commissioned and test run. However, just one month after the hot test of the caster, some serious abnormal noise occurred with the ladle turret support arm during lifting /lowering operation. Based on relevant check, analysis and computation, cause for the said noise was identified, and countermoves were taken, having a good result.
