Abstract: Described in the paper are the operational thoery of the system with halo-tungsten lamp as light source and CCD converter employing projection technique for on-line O.D.inspection of hotrolled seamless steel tubes and the relation between the design of the system's optical unit and inspection accuracy thereof.
