Abstract: The technical requirements for steel pipe properties for oil-gas transmission projects are briefed, the technological developments in respect of steel making for line pipe and the plate and strip rolling for tube making described, and relevant technical concerns pointed out. Some detailed suggestions for future development of domestic linepipe-making sector are put up based on the identified gap between foreign and domestic linepipe-making circles.
