Abstract:
A comparison is made between five Chinese and foreign standards for seamless steel structural tubes in terms of technical norms i.e., steel type, chemical composition, mechanical property and technological test. Gaps concerning the said technical norms between the Chinese standards and the foreign standards and the causes therefor are analyzed. Addressing these gaps, proposals are put forward to revise the Chinese standards for seamless steel structural tubes in a bid to get it in line with advanced correspondent international standards.
