Abstract: Subjected to critical service environment, oil well pipes have to satisfy stringent requirements for their overall mechanical properties. To meet such a need, it is generally required to get such pipes quenched and tempered. Elaborated in the article is the walking-beam furnace-based quenching-and-tempering line for O.C.T.G., covering the advanced technology, equipment and the operation effectiveness, etc.
