Abstract: Over the recent years, domestic demand for petroleum products is getting bigger and bigger, resulting in more and more crude oil resources being used by the domestic oil refineries in a bid to supply more types of oil products to meet the said demand. Therefore, more critical requirements are put forward for oil refinery-service seamless steel tubes, including better corrosion resistance and wear-resistance and higher cost-effectiveness, etc. The application conditions in the oil refinery for alloy steel tubes are analyzed. In addition, the alloy steel tubes are categorized in accordance with different temperature conditions and corrosive medium types they encounter, and safeguard measures for the tubes proposed.
