Abstract:
Taking the existing continuous roller hearth bright normalization/annealing furnace located at a certain domestic seamless steel tube manufacturer as the research object, the relationship between the heat released during the cooling stage of the steel pipe and the heat consumed by heating acid solution in the pickling process is studied.Based on the actual on-the-site production data, the waste heat boiler system is designed for recovery and utilization of the residual heat from the continuous roller hearth bright normalization/annealing furnace, which has been successfully applied to the pickling process of cold-drawn seamless steel tubes. The actual application result shows that the said design is energy-saving and environment-friendly, which not only improves the product quality, reduces the production costs, but also obviously enhances energy utilization rate, and promotes the upgrading of traditional manufacturing industries.
