Abstract: While over the recent years both production and export volume of seamless steel tubular products have been quickly increased,there still exist a great number of backward equipment,and high dependence on exportation remains to be improved. Analyzed in the paper are the setups of production and manufacture equipment and dependence on exportation with respect to seamless steel tubular products. As a result,it is concluded that as the most economically developed region of the country,the Eastern China region is an area with the biggest production capacity and export volume of seamless steel tubular products and meanwhile,it is also an area ridden with the largest quantity of backward production equipment,which leads to high energy consumption and serious pollution. It is proposed that seamless steel tube makers take appropriate opportunities to speed up eliminating of the backward production capabilities in a bid to ensure the healthy and fast development of domestic seamless steel tube industry.
