Abstract:
Addressing the three-high cross-rolling process with round billet, a three dimensional plasticity heat-force coupling simulation is conducted with a non-linear FE analysis software named MSC. MARC/Autoforge, resulting in parameters namely, the stress, the strain field and the temperature distribution. It is identified that the distribution pattern of strain strength on the rolled piece longitudinal section during three-hi cross-rolling process with round billet is very similar to that during two-hi cross-rolling process with round billet, i.e. both appear in a "W" pattern. Also recognized is that with the same roll tilting angle, the unevenness of deformation distribution with the former process is much more obvious than that with the latter.
