Abstract: The co-authors brief the general situation of domestic pipeline transport industry, and market demand to and the current situation of the medium/large-sized welded pipe manufacturing circles. They also give a detailed comparison between several forming processes for straight welded pipes being currently employed, and regard that the arrayed roll forming process is one of the options for building up new medium/large SAW straight welded pipe mills in the country.
