Abstract: The paper describes the main technical data and the saw type concerning the tube blank cutting machine designed and manufactured by the subject plant's own technical force and incorporated with the 170 seamless steel tube mill line. Trial operation has proven that the non-tooth friction saw can meet the mill line's operational requirements with rather high effectiveness. Also introduced is the application of tube blank cutting machines overseas.
