Abstract:
Analyzed are the causes for rupture of the seamless stainless steel tube during processing, involving analysis of the quality and heating schedule of the blank, observations of the macro-morphologies of rupture of the mother tube occurring in the processes of hot-piercing, pickling and cold-working. It is concluded that properly- determined processing processes and strictly following of the operation procedures will contribute to reducing ruptures of steel tubes being processed. Specific measures are proposed to prevent rupture of the stainless steel tube during processing.
