Abstract: The new proeess of annealing treatment by high temperature oxidation for piercing plugs, recommended in the paper, can not only improve the inside surface quality of pierced shells but also greatly increase the service life of piercing anticorrosion steel pipes of 1.5 to 2m length with the process.
