Abstract: The investigation covers the shapts of flaws staying with the centrifugally cast 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel shell and the formation mechanism for the said flaw, based on which measures for preventing and eliminating the defect and appropriate casting process parameters arc proposed.
