Abstract: Addressing so many current problems concerning domestic manufacture of straighteners, a new type hi-strength Ф168 mm straightener is developed with special design consideration of such key issues as water and dust protection and operation consistency of the equipment. The experience of making and operation of a number of the said straighteners shows that the design concept of the straighter is feasible and the quality of tube straightening is considerably improved.
