Abstract: Described are the development history and current situation of manufacture of the OCTG threading machine which were originally imported from abroad. Analyzed are the technological performance characteristics and development trend of typical tube threaders overseas. Evaluated are the R ＆ D achievements as made by and the design and manufacture levels of domestic tube threader-makers. Also discussed is the technological gap between such makers and their foreign counterparts. Finally proposed are the main objectives in using foreign advanced technologies by domestic tube threader-manufacturers.
