Abstract: As a result of an investigation and experiments on the mandrel pass of the plug mill, it is concluded that the employment of mandrel bars with an oval section for both plug mill proper and reeler will play a role of reducing wall unevenness and enhancing the gauge serew-down amount during reeling.
