Abstract: Elaborated in the article are the types and features of the currently-used rotary-rolling pipe mills, focusing on the equipment structures and characteristics of the new type SCM rotary-rolling mill for hot-rolled seamless steel pipes.And the gain on investments of the said SCM pipe mill is compared with that of the PQF pipe mill, based on which the advantages of the SCM mill is summarized.Thanks to employment of a completely new operation way of the rolling mandrel, and the quite new designs of structures of the rolling mill proper and inlet and outlet tables, the existing rotary-rolling ability and product quality are expected to be overall improved.The new type SCM rotary-rolling pipe mill is in possession of such advantages as comprehensively-innovated equipment structure design, wide pipe size range, small pipe WT tolerance, low investment and operation casts, and easy operation.
