Abstract: Briefed in the article is the localization history of domestic OCTG and hi-pressure boiler pipe over the recent 50 years.Also analyzed are the characteristics and shortcomings of the production of domestic OCTG and hipressure boiler tube.Furthermore, the development trend and opportunities are forecast and actions for further development are proposed.Based on the analysis and forecast, it is concluded that despite the shortcomings of the production of domestic OCTG and hi-pressure boiler pipe, the domestic steel tube-making industry is facing significant strategic opportunities in the 12th FYP Period, and is in need of adjusting product variety structure, enhancing product level and speeding up the development of high-performance special steel pipe.
