Abstract: The high-strength steel tubes for Crawler crane boom.have been so far totally imported from abroad.Elaborated in the paper is the development of the HSM770 seamless steel tube for the said purpose by Hunan Hengyang Steel Tube(Group) Co.,Ltd.Relevant testing result demonstrates that the newly-developed tube is satisfactory to the application requirements in terms of mechanical properties,which has brought about considerable economic benefit.
