Abstract: Improvement on shearing quality of the steel strip will significantly and positively affect the quality of the welded pipe. The circular shears cutting process,and the characteristics of the cross-section as cut thereby are analyzed resulting in identification of the influence by the shearing quality on the formation and welding quality of the welded pipe. Mainly described in the article are the calculation of the blade clearance,and the overlap amount of the circular shears with relevant empirical equations,and the requirements for adjustment thereof.
