Abstract: The properties of CZ-4 vitreous lubricant are described in the paper. The result from the experiment on piercing stainless steel pipe with the new lubricant shows that it can meet the technical requirements in case of piercing shell over 900mm in length, meanwhile the consumption of Molybdenum-base alloy plug and guiding plate of the mill can be reduced.
