Abstract: Introduced in the paper are issues concerning straight welded tube forming technologies, including the currently used main types of forming mills made at home and imported from abroad,various typic forming processes as well as the development of straight welded tube forming technologies.It is concluded that although thanks to successful absorption of imported technologies and equipment, domestic capacity for design and manufacture of advanced straight welded tube mills has been formed,further efforts in developing forming technologies are necessary to develop the welded tube industries.
