Abstract: Based on the experimental study, the co-authors discuss preliminarily the feasibility of the process for rolling small diameter metal pipes with Y type 3-roll continuous cold rolling mill, analyze the deformation pattern of metal pipes in the applicable passes and present the rolling simulation for pipe O.D. reduction, It has been proven via relevant pilot operations that this process is practical.
