Abstract: Described in the paper are different melting process flows for P91 (T91) steel and various key elements controlled for each melting process, detailing measures taken during the melting to control the gas contents of nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen in the steel to prevent subsurface blister and wilding of the ingot for the purpose of ensuring the product quality.
