Abstract: Introduced in the article is the recovering production situation of the Russian steel tube industrial circles as surviving the 1998 autumn financial crisis. Also dealt with are such aspects as changes in Russian steel tube category and import/export volumes over the recent years, technical updates in the industry and constructions of manufacturing installations for large-sized oil/gas line pipes carried out in the last a few years as well as the conglomeration trend of steel tube makers.
