Abstract: Elaborated is the structure of the management information system for domestic metallurgical industrial circles.It is pointed out that the construction pace of such management system in the steel pipe industry is far behind the current developments of other aspects of the metallurgical companies in the country.Analyzed are the differences among the steel pipe makers,and the characteristics of steel pipe manufacturing technologies and production management,based on which,relevant solution and implement steps for construction of the management information system of steel pipe manufacturers are proposed.With the construction of the management information system of a TPCO as an example,the functional structure and functions of the management information system are briefed.
