Abstract: Rolls for a stretch-reducing mill should be of low inner layer hardness, certain depth of coldhardened surface layer as well as excellent wear and heat resistances, All technical targets of the centrifagally-composited and cold-hardened middle-alloy rolls, developed jointly by both Tianjin Seamless Steel Tube Plant and Shanghai Xinhu Iron and Steel Works, are better than those of the rolls imported from Germany.
