Abstract:
Based on relevant actual production practice, the centrifugal casting-forming process and heat treatment process for the bimetal composite roll are described. The superiorities of the said roll-casting process are analyzed. And the application result of the centrifugally-cast composite roll is compared with those of the rolls made with other manufacturing processes. As a result, it is concluded that the wear-resistant alloy composite roll as made with the bi-liquid metal composite centrifugal casting process has advantages of the two metals, and thus features lower alloy costs, and much longer service span.
