Abstract: The investigation shows how the qality of such operations of welded pipe production as slitting, tube formation, welding and afer-welding-heat treatment are influenced by steel defects like residual elements, chemical composition segregation, surficial scaling and strip thickness uneveness, which possibly occur during melting, casting and rolling of the material.
