Abstract: Piercing efficiency is one of the critical parameters concerning deformation under rotary piercing and there is no existing mathematic model for accurate calculation therefor.With a COMPAQ-386 microcomputer and relevant theoretical analysis and statistic derivation,a mathematic model for piercing efficiency calculation with shell W.T.has been set up.It has been proven that the result from the computation with the model is in conformity with relative actual data.
