Abstract:
The typical defects of the HFW pipe end as identified by the radiographic inspection are described here in the paper. The determination of the defect as found via the X-ray radiographic inspection is analyzed, which leads to such as conclusion that the defect determination must not be simply made just solely based on the fact whether or not there exists any shadow or black line, etc. And the correct method is first determine whether or not there exists any defect that conforms to applicable product specification, but still affects the X-ray negative by means of taking consideration of the manufacturing process for the HFW pipe, and the states of both inner and outer surfaces of the pipe. And if there does exist such defects, the pipe must be first repaired via grinding, and then subjected to the X-ray radiographic inspection so as to avoid the influence on the determination of the detection result.
