Present Development Situation and Expectation of Oil Pipe Thread Auto-measurement Technology

Briefed here in the paper is the development history of the thread auto-measurement technology for the petroleum pipe industry.It is pointed out that it is still a long way to go to get relevant measurement equipment have complete suitability for the working-site conditions.And the thermal deformation of both the measurement equipment and the work-piece to be measured acts as the most critical factor which leads to the uncertainty of in-the-workshop measurement.Also described are the operation principle and applicable conditions of the relative measurement and the measurement equipment,and the operation flow and criteria of the equator.The repeatability and the reproducibility of the measurement system are analyzed.It is expected that the oil pipe thread auto-measurement technology will have profound effects on the development of related industry after the breakthrough of its industrialized application on the production site.
