Discussion on Application of S30432 Steel Boiler Tube for Power Plant Service

Discussed here in the paper are some application issues of the S30432 steel boiler tube for power plant service as encountered in recent years,including product localization,grain size,intergranular corrosion,and internal surface shot blast,etc.It is regarded that the product quality of the home-made S30432 steel boiler tube has been up to the requirements by applicable standard,and equal to the level of similar steel tubes as imported from abroad;one-sided pursuit of the finer grain size probably results in some other quality risks;the said boiler tube has a certain susceptibility to intergranular corrosion,which should be taken into consideration under such conditions as hydrostatic testing,transporting,storing,installing,and at the early stage of the start-up of the boiler unit.The S30432 steel boiler tube with internal surface shot blasted has stable oxidation resistance,and there is almost no effect on its oxidation resistance by the heat treatment as done at a temperature under 800℃.
