Study on Heat Treatment Process for 4130X Seamless Steel Tube for Large Gas Cylinder Service

The 4130X seamless steel tube for large gas cylinder service is subjected to the quenching and tempering test with different heat treatment schemes in a bid to check and analyze the the microstructure and the mechanical properties of the material.The test result shows that after being quenched at 880 ℃,held for 40 min,cooled with water down to ambient temperature,and then tempered at 690 ℃,held for 90 min,and cooled with air,finally the material presents excellent low-temperature impact toughness and outstanding comprehensive mechanical properties,having been up to the requirements under applicable specification.
