Abstract
Comparatively analyzed are the performances of the X65MOS submarine low-temperature acid-resistant steel plate as made by the major steel works both at home and abroad. It is regarded via the analysis that the four types of the X65MOS low-temperature,acid-resistant steel plate are designed for alloying with super-low carbon, low Mn,and low S,and proper addition of such alloying elements as Ni,Cr,and Cu as well as micro-alloying elements as Nb,V and Ti,all showing the cold-cracking sensitivity index as kept as about 0.14%;all the plates show excellent low-temperature toughness level, and have properties as Charpy impact energy at -45℃:above 390 J;drop weight tear test result at -30℃:single value ≥ 70%,average value ≥ 85%,both up to the requirement;HIC and SSC resistances:up to applicable standard requirements. The microstructure differences are the major cause for the mechanical property differences of the material. It is concluded that the performance level of the home-made X65MOS steel plate has been almost equal to that of the similar products as made abroad.
