    R & D of Automatic Tracking System for Gas Shielded Welding Gun of Straight Seam Pre-welding Machine

    • Described here in the paper is a automatic tracking system for the gas-shielded welding gun of the straightseam pre-welding machine,briefing such main aspects as configuration of the general hardware and software,the modules of the system for such functions as software origin image acquisition,running alarming,and peripheral logic-presetting.Focused on analyzing modules for arc image processing and feature point-capturing,and calculating of bevel parameters and offset. The actual operation of the system demonstrates that the tracking system runs consistently,being capable of properly and automatically controlling the pre-welding gun to make it follow the weld seam center,and showing the feature of well resisting the gas shielded welding arc interference.
