    Research and Development of Manufacturing Process for Large-sized Ti Alloy Seamless Pipe

    • Studied is the hi-temperature deformation-resistance of the TC4 alloy at 700~1 000℃.Accordingly the rolling process for the Φ418 mm×28 mm TC4 Ti alloy seamless tube is developed.It is demonstrated via the research that the deformation-resistance of the said Ti alloy is getting increased exponentially along with the dropping of the temperature;it must be at the temperature above 800℃that the Ti alloy rolling deformation occurs;and the Ti alloy seamless tube as produced with the processes of billet heating+piercing+finish rolling+reheating+sizing+cooling bed possesses good straightness,no visible outer and inner surface defects and the dimensional accuracy as meeting the customer technical requirements.
